Steps
- Open the Reel, post, or video on instagram.com in Chrome.
- Hover the post. Click the download button Master Instagram Downloader adds to it.
- Chrome saves the file to your downloads folder, or to the folder your naming preset defines. Watch progress in the extension popup or on
chrome://downloads.
What you get
- Videos and Reels are saved as MP4. Photos are saved as JPEG.

- File names follow your naming preset, for example username plus published date. See naming and folders.
Free
One-click downloads of single posts, Reels, Stories, and Highlights are not capped on the free plan. The limits only apply to bulk runs (Download All, Manual Selection, Range, Time), Download New accounts, and link lists.
