Download only new Instagram posts
How Download New remembers your last run and skips what you already have.
Download New is the feature that saves you from re-downloading 4,000 posts to get 17 new ones. It is the second half of a real backup.
How it works
- The first time you back up a profile you run Download All. That run becomes the baseline for that profile.
- Later, open the same profile and click Download New.
- The extension compares the profile against the baseline and saves only what was added since. Items you already have are skipped, so there are no duplicates.
- The baseline moves forward after each run.
Where to see synced profiles
The Account page inside the extension lists every profile with a baseline and its last run.
Limits
- Free: Download New on up to 10 Instagram accounts per browser profile. Profiles already set up keep working when you reach the limit; you just cannot add an eleventh until you upgrade.
- Pro: unlimited accounts, plus restore of your Download New history after a reinstall or on another computer.
Note
Download New does not use the weekly bulk-run allowance. It is limited only by the number of accounts.
