Why a Chrome extension beats paste-a-link sites
No password, no upload of your media, no redirect to a downloader website.
Paste-a-link websites are the common way to save Instagram media, and they are the wrong tool for anything beyond a single public post.
What paste-a-link sites do
- Ask you to leave Instagram, copy a URL, and paste it somewhere else, one post at a time.
- Fetch the media through their servers, so your activity and sometimes your credentials pass through them.
- Cannot see anything that needs your session: Stories from accounts you follow, private profiles you are approved for, or Close Friends.
- Have no memory. Every visit starts from zero, so backups and only-new runs are impossible.
What Master Instagram Downloader does instead
- Runs inside the Instagram tab you already have open in Chrome. One click on the post.
- Uses the Instagram session already in your browser. We never ask for your Instagram password and never see it.
- Downloads go from Instagram to your computer through Chrome. Your media is not uploaded to us.
- Remembers what you have: Download All once, then Download New for only the new posts.
- Names and sorts files as it saves them.
