Resume interrupted Instagram downloads
What to do when Chrome pauses or fails files mid-run.
Long runs get interrupted: the laptop sleeps, Wi-Fi drops, or Instagram slows down. You do not have to start over.
Resume from the popup
- Open the Master Instagram Downloader popup.
- Click Resume. The extension asks Chrome to resume every interrupted file it finds.
- Check
chrome://downloadsif you want to watch individual files.
If files still fail
- Reload the Instagram tab and make sure you are still signed in. A red ! on the extension icon means Instagram signed you out.
- Wait a few minutes. Instagram rate-limits heavy activity; the extension paces itself, but a pause helps.
- Run Download New on the same profile. Anything already saved is skipped, so it picks up what the interrupted run missed.
Does an interrupted run count?
A bulk run only uses a free weekly slot when it finishes normally and saves at least 80% of attempted files. An interrupted run does not.
